Roger D. and Clyta Patterson of Marietta are celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary on Sunday, March 6.
They were married March 6, 1966, at Sandhill United Methodist Church in Reno by the Rev. Don Sillman.
She is the daughter of the late Raymond C. and Elsie Rohrer Swartz. He is the son of the late Wayne and Alberta Barth Patterson.
They have four children and five grandchildren: Anthony (Amy) and children, Aaron and Andrew Patterson of Marietta; Mark (Dena) and children, Mitchell Patterson and Austin of Old Washington, Ohio; Angela and her daughter, Melanie Morgan, of Marietta; and Selena (Bud) Shackleford of Belpre.
He is retired from Burkhart Trucking. She was bookkeeper and cashier in the office of Woolworth's for over 15 years. They are members of the Bethel Lighthouse Church on Warren Chapel Road.
They invite their relatives and friends to join them in church at the 10:30 a.m. service. Their granddaughter will be singing her great-grandmother Elsie's favorite song. Everyone is also invited to a potluck dinner at noon in the all purpose building. They request no gifts please, but cards would be appreciated.
