Kelly Dreibelbis and Joshua Cook were married Dec. 6, 2010, in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic at the Majestic Elegance Resort with the beach as the backdrop.
The bride is the daughter of Donald and Debbie Acor Sr., of Mount Pleasant Mills, Pa. and Marlin Dreibelbis, of Pillow, Pa. She is a 1997 graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in environmental geoscience in 2001 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a master's in geographic information systems in 2005 from the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently a geologist for Range Resources.
The bridegroom is the son of John and Robin Cook of Harrisville, W.Va. He is a 2000 graduate of Ritchie County High School. He received his bachelor's degree in 2003 and master's degree in 2004 from West Virginia University in petroleum engineering. He is currently a Production Engineer for PDC Energy in Bridgeport, W.Va.
The matron of honor was Lindsay Sumpter of Pittsburgh. The best man was Daniel Cook, brother of the bridegroom.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her parents. She wore a white chiffon strapless dress with diamond applique and carried a bouquet of white. The wedding party and guests attended a dinner reception.
An open house reception is being held in their honor at the home of the bridegroom's sister, Angela and Dustin Huffman of Harrisville, W.Va. on Saturday, April 23, from 2 to 4 p.m.
