The Marietta Times

At the Ohio Nursery & Landscape Association's (ONLA) Central Environmental Nursery Trade Show (CENTS), Greenleaf Landscapes was presented with an award for its excellence in landscape design. The 38th annual Landscape Awards Program winners were announced at the ONLA Awards Night on Jan. 23.

Patrick Miller was presented with a Merit Award Water Feature Category for the Murphy Residence and the Merit Award Residential Installation Category for the Murphy Residence.

"We are so proud of our industry professionals; they provide exceptional landscape designs, services, and innovations across Ohio and the U.S. I can think of no better place to honor these landscape award winners and green industry scholars than during CENTS, among peers who appreciate the quality and dedication of each individual's contribution," said Jennifer Gray, ONLA Associate Executive Director.

The ONLA Landscape Awards Program raises awareness of how quality landscaping can improve the environment and property values, recognizes citizens who have taken action through quality landscaping, and rewards skilled professionals who have executed quality workmanship. The program is open to both members and non-members of the ONLA. A jury of distinguished professionals in the fields of landscape architecture, education and horticulture evaluated entries and recommended recipients to the ONLA Landscape Awards Committee.

Each landscape awards winner was presented with an awards plaque during the Sunday evening ceremony. During the awards ceremony, the ONLA also passed out over $15,000 in scholarship awards to outstanding horticulture students representing Ohio colleges and high schools.

The Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association is a nonprofit association representing the interests of the state's nursery, garden center, and landscape industry. Membership is comprised of nursery stock growers, landscape contractors and maintenance firms, garden centers, arborists and allied suppliers.
