B. Annie Sloter of Marietta and Christopher P. Doak of Waterford are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kelly and Larry Sloter of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of the late Betty and Dale Berga and the late Shirley and Clifford Sloter.
She graduated from Marietta Senior High School and Washington State Community College in 2003 with an associate degree in liberal arts. She graduated from Marietta College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education. In 2010 she finished her Master of Arts in reading and literacy. She works as a second grade teacher in Frontier Local School District.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Lois and Tom Doak. He is the grandson of Christine and the late Nikolaus Gross and Bernie and the late Alf Doak and Hela and the late Russ Porter.
He is a 1997 Waterford High School graduate. He is currently employed with the Carpenters Union.
The couple will exchange vows at 3:30 p.m. on July 30 at the K of C Hall in Churchtown. A reception will follow the ceremony.
