Lighthouse Baptist Easter events
The Easter events start today at Lighthouse Baptist Church of Vincent with a community Easter egg hunt from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
On Sunday, April 17, Pastor A. C. Smith will preach on the "King on the Cross" at the 10 a.m. worship service. He will present a message on the "Atonement" of Christ at the 6 p.m. service.
For Easter Sunday, April 24, the church will offer a sunrise service at 8 a.m. with a special music presentation from the choir. This will be followed by a community breakfast at 9 a.m. and the 10 a.m. worship service with a message on the resurrection of Christ from the pastor.

First Baptist to host Easter Egg hunt
First Baptist Church, 301 Fourth Street, Marietta, will have an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m., today, for children through the fifth grade.
Palm Sunday, April 17, there will be 9:30 a.m. worship service with Pastor Gerald Morgan speaking on "The Road to the Cross" (Mark 11:1-11.) Sunday school will be at 10:45 a.m.
A Maundy Thursday service will be held April 21 with communion in the dining room.
Easter Sunday, April 24, there will be a 6:30 a.m. sunrise service at the Harmar School parking lot with Milt Nuzum speaking on "Five Words" (John 20:10-18) and the Baptist Brass Music. Please bring lawn chairs. Breakfast will be served in the church dining hall immediately following the sunrise service.
At the 9:30 a.m. worship service, Pastor Gerald Morgan will give the message on "The Empty Cross" (Mark 16:1-7.) Sunday school will be at 10:45 a.m.

Daily Bread Kitchen free lunch
The Daily Bread Kitchen will provide a free lunch on Wednesday, April 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 312 Franklin St. Marietta.
The lunch will consist of chicken fajitas, re-fried beans,Spanish rice, tortilla chips/salsa and desert.All are welcome.
St. Luke's Easter schedule
St. Luke's Lutheran Church's Lenten Schedule is as follows. On Palm Sunday, April 17, there will be communion at the 8:15 and 10:30 am. services in the sanctuary.
The Maundy Thursday Service will be at 7 p.m., April 21, with communion.
The Good Friday Service will be at 7 p.m., April 22, with the Cantata being performed.
Easter Sunday, April 24, there will be communion at the 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. services.
The church will also be hosting the Italian Feast on Tuesday, March 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. This dinner benefits the Back-to-School Backpack Project for qualifying Marietta City School children (kindergarten-high school)). The cost is free will offering.
Happy Valley Bpys gospel group
The Happy Valley Boys, a gospel quartet from Huntington, will sing in the 10 a.m. Sunday, April 17, service of the Marietta Bible Center Church. Myron K., Guiler, pastor of the church, will continue his series on the Cross. This week it will be "The First Palm Sunday." Following the service the church family will be having a traditional ham dinner. Joe Offenberger will preach at the 7 p.m. service.
Guiler will lead the Bible study at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 20.
The studies from the Book of Revelation will continue at the Kennonsburg Bible Church on Thursday, April 21, at 7 p.m. with Guiler teaching.
The Marietta Bible College choir, along with Guiler, will be at the Faith Baptist Church in Vienna at 7 p.m., Friday, April 22.

Noble County ministers offer services
The Noble County Ministerial Association will sponsor special worship services during Holy Week. Good Friday worship will be at 7 p.m., April 22, at the Sharon Presbyterian Church. The message will be delivered by the Rev. Will Mullins. Drs. Tom and Ruth Tarleton will provide special music. Area pastors will participate in the worship service.
The Easter sunrise worship will be at 6:30 a.m., April 24, at the Caldwell Free Methodist Church. Pastor Helen Lewis will deliver the message. Other pastors from the area will participate in these services.
Palm Sunday service at Crown of Life
Palm Sunday morning at Crown of Life Lutheran Church will focus on the theme, "The King of Glory Comes." The worship service led by Pastor Joel Vogel will begin at 9:30 a.m.
A brief fellowship time with light refreshments will follow morning worship. Sunday school will begin at 11 a.m. for classes for all ages.
Palm Sunday evening at 7 p.m. Crown of Life will present "A Picture of Calvary" a musical drama for the community.
A Good Friday Candlelight Worship Service will be held at 7 p.m. on April 22.

Moss Run church at Easter
Moss Run Community Church will have a special Easter Sunday service at 10:00 a.m. Vocalist Jay Offenberger will be singing and preaching as the church celebrates the Resurrection of Our Savior. Children's Easter activities will follow the worship service.

Gospel meeting in April
A gospel meeting will be held at the Ullman St. Church of Christ, April 24 to 27 with Randy Matheny as speaker. Sunday morning services will start at 9:30 a.m. for bible study, 10:30 a.m. for worship and 6 p.m. for Sunday evening service. Monday through Wednesday services will be at 7:30 p.m. The Church is located off Ohio 60 just behind the Citizens Bank in Beverly.
First Church of Nazarene services
Marietta First Church of the Nazarene, located at 100 Mill Creek Road, will be having a Maundy Thursday service on April 21 at 7 p.m., and will be held in the Family Life Building.
The service will include singing, scripture reading, Seder Meal, and communion. Children and adults will be involved in this service. The community is welcome.
The church will be having two morning worship services for Easter Sunday, April 24.
The first service will begin at 9 a.m. and the second at 10:40 a.m. Both services will be the same. The church will provide nursery and children's church for both services.
The church will also have an evening service FAQ's (Fear, Anxiety, and Question's) which will begin at 6 p.m. This will be a look at the emotions surrounding the resurrection, and the evening will include drama, music and communion. The Community is welcome to attend.

Putnam Congregational Church will have a traditional Easter service on April 24. The service starts at 10:15 a.m. with an Easter message, prayer and songs. A nursery is provided and children's church for 3 to 12 year old is also held at 10:15 a.m. The public is welcome.
Putnam Congregational Church will be participating in the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 5. A schedule is available for 30 minute prayer segments from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for those wishing to come and spend a quiet half hour in prayer. Please call the church for a time slot.
"Take What You Want, Pay What You Can" give-away-day, will be on Saturday, May 7 from 7 to 11 a.m. at the church. Many miscellaneous items including clothing, household, outdoor, etc. will be available. There will also be a raffle of special items during the day.

A Relay for Life benefit motorcycle and classic car show will be held April 30 at Fairlawn Baptist Church located at W.Va. 50 and Dupont Road. Registration will be from 11 a. m. to 1 p.m. The presentation of trophies will be at 3 p.m. There is a $10 registration fee per vehicle with a T-shirt and dash plaque to first 25 to register. There will be a free hot dog to each participant with a limit of two per registered vehicle. There will be trophies for the top 20, best of show (Pastor's choice), youth group choice, Sam Kittle memorial trophy, concessions, door prizes, praise music.
Relay for Life Walk will be at 11:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Balloon Release and Cancer Survivor Recognition Relay for Life Walk will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., Walk during the Show Luminaria Service at 6 p.m. in church sanctuary. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

St. Sylvester Central Roman Catholic School will be holding their Spring carnival on Sunday, May 1. BBQ chicken and baked steak dinners will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be a country store. The public is invited.

Soul's Refuge Church Youth will be having a car show Saturday, May 7 at the National College Campus located at Park Center Drive by Crafts 2000. Car registration begins at 10 a.m. and Show starts at noon. Trophies will be given out at 3 p.m. Door prizes will be given out during the show and there will be concession. The Beverly United Methodist United Methodist Women will be having their Spring rummage and bake sale on Friday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The "Bag Sale" will be at 4 p.m. The Marietta Memorial Hospital Bloodmobile will be there from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
St. Marks United Methodist Church in Belpre will be hosting a Relay for Life Coffeehouse on Sunday, May 8, at 6:30 p.m. There will be musical entertainment, coffee, desserts, silent auction and door prizes. All proceeds from this event will be donated to The American Cancer Society. The church is located at 302 Maple Street, Belpre.

Churches combine for Maundy Thursday
Norwood and Faith United Methodist Churches will combine for a special Maundy Thursday service open to the public on April 21 at 7 p.m. The combined service will be held in the Family Activities Center at Norwood United Methodist Church located at the corner of Oakwood Avenue and Colegate Drive. It will focus on Jesus Christ and his last meal with his disciples. Pastor Stacy Evans will lead the service which will conclude with offering Holy Communion.
The churches will hold separate Easter morning services. Norwood UMC will be at 9:30 a.m. preceded by a special "Greet and Meet" hour at 8:30 a.m. with donuts, bagels, juice and coffee. Sunday School will follow the morning worship at 10:30 a.m.
Faith UMC will hold their Easter morning service at 11 a.m with Sunday school held at 10 a.m.
Norwood UMC is located at the corner of Oakwood Ave. and Colegate Dr. and Faith UMC is located at 503 Seventh St. Everyone is welcome, dress is casual.
The Rev. Stacy Evans is the pastor at both churches and will lead both Easter morning services.
