Tunnel church hosts men's breakfast
The Tunnel United Methodist Men will meet for breakfast on Sunday, May 8, at 8 a.m. All men are invited to attend a time of food and fellowship.
Bible Center to honor mothers
On Sunday, May 8, the Marietta Bible Center Church will have a special service for the mothers of the church. The Marietta Bible Choir will sing and special mothers will be recognized. Joe Offenberger will preach. The service will be at 10 a.m. A spaghetti dinner will be served following the service for all who attend.
The Sunday evening service will be at 6 p.m. Joe Offenberger will bring the message.
On Sunday evening the choir and Pastor Guiler will travel to Wadsworth, Ohio, to sing at the Reimer Road Baptist Church. The service will be at 6 p.m.
The Marietta Bible College will hold an IBMA Missions Conference on Monday through Wednesday, May 9 to 11. The services will be at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. The keynote speakers will be J. D. Walker, Jerry Siller and Roger Green.
The college choir and Guiler will travel to the Dayton area on May 12 and 13. They will be at the Bearean Baptist Temple of Fairborn on Thursday and The Grace Baptist Church of Ludlow Falls on Friday. Both services will be at 7 p.m.

Free lunch at St. Marys Church
The Daily Bread Kitchen will be holding their free luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, at St. Marys Church, 506 Fourth St., Marietta. The menu will include pasta, vegetable, salad, roll, dessert and drink.
Free lunch at First Baptist Church
The Singles and Doubles Class of the First Baptist Church, 301 Fourth Street Marietta, will be offering their caring and Sharing Free Community Lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, May 14, at the church. All are invited to this free lunch to share food and fellowship. The menu will consist of sloppy Joe's, sandwiches, salads, dessert, and beverage.
The class offers this free lunch as a part of it's community outreach ministries on the second Saturday of every month. All are welcome to attend.
Gospel meetings in New Matamoras
There will be a gospel meeting at 7 p.m. each evening May 16 through 20 at New Matamoras Church of Christ. The speaker will be Sam Bartrug. The church is located at 401 Duncan Lane, New Matamoras.
Spaghetti dinner to raise money
The Women's Society of Hills United Methodist Church is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, May 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Hills United Methodist Church, corner of Ohio 333 and Zion Ridge Road. All you can eat spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and dessert. Cost is a free-will offering. All proceeds will go to the church for operating costs.

Ministries orders
Angel Food Ministries food units for May can be ordered at Second Congregational Church, 1855 Greene St., Marietta. Order dates at the church are Thursday, May 12, from 6 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 14, from 9 to 11 a.m. Mail orders must be received by May 14. Phone orders may be placed until May 15. Online orders at www.angelfoodministries.com have a deadline of May 15 at 11:59 p.m. All orders are prepaid by cash, check, debit or credit card, or EBT/SNAP cards.
There has been a slight increase in some of the packages from $1 to $5 but they have replaced some of the frozen vegetables with more meats. So many e-mails were received about stopping the prepackaging. Everyone wanted to continue getting it prepackaged, so they needed to increase the price to cover the time for workers.
The regular boxes include: #B-1, the Bread of Life Signature Box for $35, that helps feed a family of four for about a week; #B-2, the Bit O'Blessing for $22; #B-3, the larger Bountiful Blessing Box for $46; #B-4, the Fast and Flavorful Cuisine is 10 convenience meals, great for seniors or people on the go, for $29; #B-5 is an Allergen-Free Food Box for $25, which is processed to eliminate the eight main food allergens including peanuts, soybeans, milk, eggs, fish, crustacean, tree nuts and gluten.
Three boxes are especially designed for children. The Just 4 Me boxes include: #B-6, After School Box for $25; #B-7, No Child Goes Without for $25; and #B-8, an After School Fruit and Veggie Box for $17; #B-9 is the recent addition, Pastor Joe's Premium Box for $55.
Specials for May are #S-1, New York strip steaks for $26; #S-2, Memorial Day Grill Box for $25; and #S-3, the Premium Fresh Fruit and Veggie Box for $24.
