Ashley Nicole Reed and Brian Patrick Hess were united in marriage April 9, 2011, at Wintergreen Woods in Lexington, S. C. The 6 p.m. ceremony was performed by Pastor Daniel Covell. A reception immediately followed.
The bride is the daughter of Walter T. and Terri Reed of Columbia. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Reed of Oil City, Pa. and the late Mr. and Mrs. John W. Cramer of Newport, Ohio. She is a graduate of Winthrop University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and is currently employed with Family Medicine Center's of S.C.
The bridegroom is the son of Patrick and Karen Hess of Columbia. He is the grandson of Mary Lou and the late Eugene Hess of Cedar Rapids and Louise and the late Arthur Nissen of Longwood, Fla. He is a graduate of Francis Marion University with a degree in Bachelor of Arts and is currently employed at Gannet Company.
Maid of honor was Kelly Jordan. Bridesmaids were Aida Sandy, Amanda Baker and Katie Hess.
Timothy Hess was the best man. Groomsmen were Daniel McVey Jr., Jake Warner, Matthew Smith and Clay Lundy.
After a honeymoon trip on a seven day cruise to Cozumel, Belize, Isla Roatan and Grand Cayman, the couple will reside in Columbia.
