Allen and Cheryl Weaver of Marietta announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Shannon Weaver, to Eric Mentges of Newark.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Carl Bonar of Marietta and the late Madge Bonar, Samuel Weaver and Grace Weaver. She is a 2004 graduate of Warren High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Akron.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Sharon Mentges of Newark and the late David Mentges. He is the grandson of the late William and Maxine Stockdale of Newark and the late Amil and Lois Mentges of Canfield. He is a 2004 graduate of Utica High School and a 2010 graduate of The Ohio State University. He has completed a pre-graduate program at the University of Pennsylvania and is enrolled in the fall at a graduate program at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., where the couple will reside after the wedding.
A June 11 wedding is planned at The Columbus Athenaeum in Columbus.
