The Rt. Rev. Derek L.S. and Connie Jones of Montevallo, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Ruth Jones to Brice William Ullman, son of Jim and Cheryl Ullman, of Beverly.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Lila Y. Lee and the late James H. Lee Jr., and also the late Jeane and William D. Jones.
She is a 2005 graduate of Shelby Academy. She studied biology at the University of Montevallo and earned her bachelor's degree in 2009. She is currently employed with Anglicans for Life in Sewickley, Pa., and will be studying occupational therapy on the graduate level. She is also a certified therapeutic riding instructor for physically and mentally disabled children.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Lucille Ullman, the late Rupert Ullman, Dorris Coleman, and the late Lena Coleman, all of Beverly. He graduated in 2004 from Fort Frye High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Liberty Univesity in 2008 and has pursued graduate studies at Westminster Theological Seminary and Georgetown University. He is currently finishing a Master's of Divinity at Trinity School for Ministry in Mbbridge, Pa., while he prepares to become an Anglican priest. He is currently a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves and hopes to transition to active duty once he completes his degree.
Their wedding is being planned for Aug. 21 in Alabama.
