Elijah (Everett) Schmidt and Wanda I. Dudley celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 29. They were married June 29, 1946, by the late Rev. Patterson.
He is the son of the late William H. and Anna L. (Haught) Schmidt. She is the daughter of the late Almer and Nola (Marquis) Dudley.
The couple have four daughters: Shirley (Bob) Hoffman, Nancy (Stephen) Beck, Connie (Larry) Matthews, Marie (Joseph) Gerken; and one son, Jerry (Heather) Schmidt. Their grandchildren are: Kandy (Kevin) Chandler, Brian, Nathan and Michael Cooper, Bob Enochs, Adam (Stacy) Enochs, Seth (Colleen) Matthews, Jody (Mike) Briggs, Kelly (Eric) Kent, Andrew and Noah Schmidt. They have two step-grandchildren, Travis and Vanessa Hoffman; 12 great-grandchldren; and three great-great grandchildren.
