Michelle Lyn Dempsey and Jason Martin Zimmerman were married May 28 at St. Marys Church in Marietta.
The bride is the daughter of Carolyn and Tom Dempsey of Marietta. The bridegroom is the son of Denise and Gary Zimmerman of London, Ohio.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Colleen Matthews as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelsey Woolard, Jessica Clark, Jenny Johnson, Jennie Littrell, Melissa Miser, Amber Jacott, and Shannon Fergus. David Aresty was the best man. The groomsmen were Clint Rossman, Nathan Clark, Matt King, Patrick Pauly, and his brothers Thomas, Mark and Brandon Zimmerman.
The bridegroom's niece, Gabrianna Bowman, was the flower girl. The bride's nephew, Gage Matthews, was the ring bearer.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the Ballroom of the Lafayette Hotel. Following the reception, the couple honeymooned in Jamaica.
The bride is a graduate of Muskingum College where she earned an undergraduate degree in political science and public affairs. She also recently received her master's in applied politics from The University of Akron. She currently works as a legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives.
The bridegroom is also a graduate of Muskingum College, where he received a degree in business. He is currently working as a business analyst for Anthem Insurance. Also, along with groomsman Clint Rossman has started their own business RnZ Properties, LLC.
The couple resides in Columbus, Ohio.
