Together with their parents, Kathryn LeAnn Marchand and James Allen Fulks announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jon and Valerie Sassi of Parkersburg and Elvin and Denette Marchand of Nederland, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Henry and Helen Sassi of Parkersburg, Walter and Helen Moss of Sulphur, La., Darrell and Glenda Marchand of Nederland, as well as Sherry Jordan also of Nederland. She is a 2009 graduate of Parkersburg High School and is currently attending West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Charles and Judith Fulks of Parkersburg. He is the grandson of Charles and Dorothy Fulks of Charleston, W.Va. and Peg Snyder and the late Loy Snyder of Parkersburg. He is a 2009 graduate of Parkersburg High School and is currently attending West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
A wedding is planned for Aug. 5 at City Soul Ministries in Vienna, W.Va.
