Robert and Catherine Dickson of 828 Third St., Marietta, will be celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary. They were married Aug. 11, 1956, at St. Marys Church in Marietta by Monsignor Edwin F. Murphy. He is the son of the late Robert E. and Lucille V. Dickson. She is the daughter of the late William F. and Geneveive C. Wesel.
The couple have three children: Greg (Darca) Dickson, Debbie (James) Gaydosh and Cathy (David) Rauch. They also have seven grandchildren: Mark, Todd and Kelly Gaydosh of North Royalton, Ohio; and Sarah, Katie, Laura and Marie Rauch of Lowell.
Dickson is a veteran of the Korean War. His is now retired from Marietta Ignition, Inc. She attended St. Marys School and Marietta College and is now retired from Marietta Ignition, Inc.
They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren. They are both members of St. Marys Catholic Church.
