Joseph and Mary Agnes (Wesel) Augenstein will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 5. They were married at St. Marys Catholic Church, Marietta, by the Rev. Monsignor Edwin F. Murphy.
She is the daughter of the late William F. and Genevieve C. Wesel. He is the son of the late Joseph E. and Ethel M. Augenstein.
They will be renewing their vows during a celebration Mass at St. Marys Catholic Church at 10 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 7. In their honor, their children Teresa (Tom) Hushion, Anna (Kerry) Manion, Mary (Scott) LaBarre, Mark (Erin) Augenstein, and Elizabeth (Dave) Jung will be hosting a reception on Aug. 7 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Marietta, from noon to 2 p.m.
They are the grandparents of 11 grandchildren: Katie and Christian Hushion; Hannah and Nathan Manion; Meaghan and Matthew LaBarre; Nora and Josie Augenstein; and Lucy, Molly and Nina Jung.
