Harold "Pete" and Betty Rossiter will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 2. They were married in 1951 at the Free Methodist Parsonage in Caldwell.
They lived in Caldwell until 1961 when they moved to Beverly. He worked as a telephone man for General Telephone Company and Century Communications, while she worked at Fort Frye High School as a cook.
They have four children: Susan (Gene) Strauss, Tim (Sheri) Rossiter, and Molly (Nick) Hutchinson; a son-in-law, Larry Casto; and their daughter, Sally Casto, who passed away in February of this year. They have nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
