Richard E. and Lois J. Reed of 632 Fifth St., Marietta, celebrated 65 years together on Sept. 14. They were married in Covington, Ky. by William J. Ranshaw, Justice of the Peace, on Sept. 14, 1946.
The couple have three sons: Bill, Jim and Don, all in the Marietta area; 11 grandchildren with another on the way; and nine great-grandchildren.
During their 40th anniversary celebration they repeated their marriage vows surrounded by family and friends at the Central Christian Church on Colgate Drive.
