Abigail Adams was crowned homecoming queen at Waterford High school Friday night. Shane Kern was named homecoming king.
Adams and Kern were honored during Friday's Waterford-Trimble football game.
Adams is the daughter of Richard and Valorie Adams. Abigail has been a member of the volleyball team for four years and the softball team for two years. She is also a four-year member of the Spanish club and pep club. Abigail has been a teacher's aide for two years, in National Honor Society for two years, and a 4-H member for eight years. After high school, Abigail plans to attend Rio Grande University for four years to obtain a degree in the medical field.

She was escorted by king candidate Braden Burer, son of Duane Burer and Jessica Dixon.
Kern is the son of Doug and Lori Kern. Shane has been a member of Spanish club and pep club for four years, golf team for four years, teacher's aide for two years, Search, varsity club and an FFA member. After high school, Shane plans to enlist in the Air Force and make a career of it.
He escorted queen candidate Marissa Schott, the daughter of Mitch and Lorraine Schott.
