Ashley Hill and Jason Rittenhouse were united in marriage on June 11 at South Parkersburg Baptist Church. The ceremony was officiated by the bridegroom's cousin, Pastor Ryan Eaton.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Kelley Hill of Vincent. She is the granddaughter of Jesse and Donna Hill of Little Hocking and Dortha Sallee of Fleming. She is a 2004 graduate of Warren High School and a 2008 graduate of Marietta College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in radio and television and completed minors in journalism and advertising/public relations. She is currently at reporter at The Marietta Times.
The bridegroom is the son of Jay and Brenda Rittenhouse of Little Hocking. He is the grandson of Dick and Barbara Rittenhouse of Parkersburg and the late Charles and Eileen Dye.
He is a 2003 graduate of Warren High School and a 2006 graduate of Hocking College, where he earned an Associate of Applied Science in audio and video production and engineering. He is currently a director at WTAP-TV.
The bride wore a white strapless taffeta gown with beaded appliques and pick ups. Her bouquet included larkspur, wax flower, alstroemeria, white stock and curly willow branches.
Christina Eliopulos served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's cousin, Brittany Pittenger, and the bridegroom's sister, Amy Rittenhouse. They wore latte colored short satin dresses with pleating at the bust and ruching at the waist. The bridegroom's great aunt, Janet Rogers, served as guest book attendant.
Garin Zumbro served as best man. The groomsmen were Sam Kinker and Joey Cox. The groomsmen wore black tuxes with white shirts, latte colored vests and latte colored ties.
A reception and sit down dinner was held at the Parkersburg Country Club. A rehearsal dinner hosted by the bridegroom's parents was held at Da Vinci's in Williamstown the night before the wedding.
For their honeymoon, they traveled to Myrtle Beach, S. C. The couple is residing in Belpre.
