Brittany Jo Smith and Justin Leander Betts were united in marriage Saturday, Sept. 17, at half past five o'clock in the afternoon at Pine Lakes Lodge in Salesville, Ohio.
The bride is the daughter of Don Smith of Lewisville and Bobbi Smith of Summerfield.
The bridegroom is the son of Delmas and Lucy Betts of Lewisville.
She is a 2006 graduate of Monroe Central High School and a 2009 graduate of Muskingum University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education and 2011 graduate of the Master of Arts in education program also at Muskingum University. She is currently employed as a teacher at Ewing School in Marietta.
He is a 2006 graduate of Monroe Central High School and Swiss Hills Career Center. He is a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 168 out of Marietta. He is currently employed by Pioneer Pipe.
The maid of honor was Alyssa (A.J.) Smith, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Casey Marshall, Lynsey Lafferre, Brittani Winland, niece of the bridegroom, and Beverly Plumly. Jolie Christman, great-niece of the bridegroom, was the flower girl.
The best man was Kasey Tippie. The groomsmen were Greg Betts, brother of the bridegroom, Jacob Beaver, Justin Hogue, and Travis (T.J.) Smith, brother of the bride. Wesley Betts, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.
Assisting with the wedding were Anne Tippie, Callie Dierkes, and Joni Betts.
A reception was held at Pine Lakes Lodge immediately following the wedding.
The couple will honeymoon in Jamaica this December.
The couple currently resides in Lewisville, Ohio.
