Steve and Ida Faye Carruthers of Charlotte Hall, Md., celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on Oct. 9. They were married Oct. 9, 1981, while both were stationed at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base, S.C.
His parents are Jim Carruthers and the late Bonne Carruthers of Pickerington, Ohio. He currently works for the Naval Research Lab in Washington, D.C., in their UAV arena. Her parents are Charles W. and Janice Seevers of Marietta. She currently works for the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs, Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
They have one child, Matthew and his significant other, Brittainey, of Charlotte Hall, Md.
To celebrate they returned to Myrtle Beach area for the weekend.
