US marshals apprehend NY fugitive in Bluefield

July 3, 2014
Associated Press

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (AP) — A fugitive from New York has been captured in Bluefield.

The U.S. Marshal's Service says 21-year-old Rudolph Sinclair was previously convicted of armed robbery and was wanted on a New York state parole warrant. Federal marshals in New York asked for help their colleagues in West Virginia, who found Sinclair at a home in Bluefield.

The Marshals Service says Sinclair may face additional charges after several firearms and suspected narcotics were seized during the arrest.

Sinclair was taken to the Southern Regional Jail to await extradition to New York.
