Together with their parents, Mitch Gates and Mindy Barnhart of Belpre announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jim Markley of Wolhonding, Ohio and Terri and Ben Adkins of Mansfield, Ohio. She is the granddaughter of the late Forrest and Patty Page of Marietta.
She is a 1998 graduate of Marietta Senior High School and is employed with Suddenlink Communications.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mark and Tina Gates of Cutler, Ohio. He is the grandson of Marjorie Newell and the late Rod Newell of Parkersburg.
He is a 2000 graduate of Belpre High School and is employed at Tri State Sheet Metal and Roofing.
The couple will be exchanging their wedding vows on April 14, 2012.
