Stonewall Marketing was recently honored by the Davey Awards program for its work with TAMARACK: The Best of West Virginia.
The agency earned a silver place finish for a promotional piece featuring Tamarack's 15th anniversary celebration in 2011.
The four-page, full-color magazine advertorial piece appeared in the summer issue of WV LIVING magazine (June 2011). The piece details the vibrancy of Tamarack and its artists over the past 15 years and their on-going contribution to the state's travel and tourism industry. Additional copies were printed and distributed throughout the year to visitors.
"Our 15th anniversary is a significant milestone in 2011 and a commemoration for the entire Mountain State," said Cindy Whitlock, Tamarack marketing director. The International Davey Awards honor the achievements of the "Creative Davids" who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than big budgets. Winners for the prestigious 2011 awards were recently announced from New York City and included more than 4,000 entries from around the world.
The Davey Awards is judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), a 200+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. Current IAVA membership represents a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms.
