Alicia Smith and Brandon McDonald were united in marriage on Sept. 10 at Muskingum Park. The ceremony was officiated by M. Arlene Walters. The bride was given in marriage by her grandparents, Carolyn Smith and Jack Lynch.

The bride is the daughter of Wretha Lynch. She is the granddaughter of Carolyn Smith and the late Harold Smith of Marietta, and Jack Lynch and the late Martha Lynch of Marietta.

She is a 2002 graduate of Marietta High School and is currently employed by Tim Horton's and Elder Beerman.

The bridegroom is the son of Anita Powell and Aimee Russel. He is the grandson of the late Mable Jackson. He is a 2004 graduate of Marietta High School.

The bride wore a princess style gown of diamond white lamore satin with an over shirt parting in the mid front of the skirt. The halter neckline featured metallic embroidery embellished with crystal and beads. The satin sash at her waist continued to the back with a lace up the back falling to a chapel train. Her bouquet included lilies, roses, baby breath, greenery and butterflies.

Stephanie Scarbrough served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister, Amanda Lynch and the bride's cousin, Mallory Smith. They wore sunny yellow and fushia strapless, street length gowns. The bride's aunt, Connie Smith was the guest book attendant.

Zach McLeigh served as best man. The groomsmen were Nathan McLeish and Tim Wilkes.

A reception and sit down dinner was held at the American Legion hosted by the bridegroom's parents. For their honeymoon they traveled to Myrtle Beach, S.C. The couple is residing in Marietta.
