Walt and Donna Newlon of Marietta announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amanda Newlon, to Raymond Costa, son of Raymond and Regina Costa of Setauket, N.Y.
The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Warren High School and a 2007 graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology. She graduated with a Master of Arts in speech-language pathology in 2008 from Kent State University. She is now employed at Marietta Memorial Hospital as a pediatric speech-language pathologist.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2000 graduate from Ward Melville Senior High School. He graduated from York College of Pennsylvania in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in secondary education - math, and a master's degree in sports leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011. He is the head coach of the Marietta College Volleyball program.
An April 2012 wedding is planned for North Redington Beach, Fla.
