Lawrence and Martha Ash of 107 Meadow Lane, Marietta, formerly of Lakeline in Lake County, Ohio, are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary on Jan. 1.
They were married on Jan. 1, 1947, in Van Wert, Ohio, by the Rev. Kimbell. He is the son of the late F.J. and Winnie Shutts Ash of Oak Grove. She is the daughter of the late John and Marjorie Billman Busch of Van Wert, Ohio.
He retired from Lincoln Electric Co. in Euclid, Ohio, in 1996 after 43 years of service. She is a homemaker.
They are the parents of three children: Floyd and Larry of Marietta; and Carol and her husband, Tim Berezne, of Mentor, Ohio.
They also have two grandchildren: Kayla and Eric Berezne of Mentor.
