Roy and Linda Jameson are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Dec. 26, 1961, in Arlington, Va.
He is retired after teaching and coaching for 32 years at Warren Local High School in Vincent. She is an RN and retired from Marietta Memorial Hospital after 16 years.
They are active members of the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Vincent.
She is the daughter of the late Cecil and Inez Oliver of Point Pleasant. He is the son of the late Paul and Mildred Jameson of Glendale, W.Va.
They are the parents of three children: Kelli (Scot) Burdette of Pataskala, Ohio, Matt (Samrawit) Jameson of Westerville, Ohio, and Kristen (fiance, Massood) Jameson of Columbus. They have two grandsons, Nathan and Justin Burdette of Pataskala.
The family is hosting a celebratory dinner party at the Lafayette Hotel in Marietta.
