Mary Rose Apostol and Jacob Norton were united in marriage on Dec. 20 at Belpre City Hall with Mayor Michael Lorentz officiating the private ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Angelito and Remedias Apostol of Virginia Beach, Va.
The bridegroom is the son of Sally Norton of Marietta. He is the grandson of Marjorie Hufford of Perrysburg, Ohio, and David R. Hufford Sr. of Rossford, Ohio.
She is a graduate of Bataan Polytechnic State College in Bataan, Philippines, and is a Machinist Mate 3rd Class in the U.S. Navy.
He is a 2004 graduate of Marietta High School and is a Petty Officer 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy, a gas turbine mechanic.
The bride carried red roses. A reception was held at the bridegroom's home in Marietta.
They are both deployed by the Navy. The bride is on the USS Essex in Sasebo, Japan, and the bridegroom is awaiting orders after returning from Buba in December.
