Bill and Ruth Perkins celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec. 31, 2011. They were married Dec. 30, 1951, by the Rev. L.D. Anderson of Pennsboro. They are lifelong residents of Ritchie County and make their home at Mountain W.Va.
He is the son of the late Andy and Ethel Perkins. He has a brother, Carl, and three sisters, Clara, Mabel and Orma, deceased. She is the daughter of the late Woodrow and Virginia Fortney and has a sister, Elsie.
They are the parents of Myron, Deana, Kyle, Andy and Tony and the grandparents of Greg, Brittany, Tad, Kylia, Spencer, Taylor, Wil, Madison and Clarinda. Their great-grandchildren are Levi and Wesley, deceased.
