Along with their parents, Michelle Denise Smith and Don Wesley Barnhart are announcing their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Tara and Jeff Chaffin of New Matamoras. She is a 2008 graduate of Frontier High School and currently attending Washington State Community College, majoring in nursing.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Lewis and Tina Barnhart of New Matamoras. He is a full-time employee at the 75 year local Haessley Lumber Company.
A September 2012 wedding is planned in Marietta.
