Jeff and Melanie Fouss of Lowell announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Abbey Marie Fouss to Adam James Schwendeman, son of Jim and Cindy Schwendeman of Lowell.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Joe and Opal Fouss of Whipple, and Elaine Schott and the late Ralph Schott of Waterford.
She is a 2006 graduate of Fort Frye High School and a 2010 graduate of Ohio University with a degree in hearing, speech and language science. She is currently pursuing a master's degree from The University of Akron in speech language pathology and is expected to graduate in May.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Cecil and Ellie Schwendeman of Lowell and Maxine Schweikert and the late Jack Schweikert of Beverly.
He is a 2004 graduate of Fort Frye High School and a 2008 graduate of Ohio University with a degree in political science. He is currently pursuing a JD at the University of Dayton School of Law and is expected to graduate in May.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 4, 2012, at St. Mary Church in Marietta with a reception to follow at the Marietta Shrine Club.
