Cortney Kern and Ryan Clark were united in marriage on Aug. 20, 2011. The ceremony was held at St. Marys Catholic Church in Marietta and was officiated by Monsignor Rev. Michael Campbell .

The bride is the daughter of Regis and Bernadette Kern of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of Earl and Francis Thieman and the late Joseph and Mary Kern.

She is a 2000 graduate of Warren Local High School and a 2004 graduate of Ohio University where she earned a Bachelor of Specialized Studies. She is currently employed with Paychex as a sales consultant in Dublin, Ohio.

The bridegroom is the son of John and Loralyn Clark of Fredonia, Pa. He is the grandson of the late Gerald and Louella Stamm and Charles and Margaret Clark .

He is a 1994 graduate of Reynolds High School and 1998 graduate of PTI where he earned an associate degree in engineering and in 2006 earned a Bachelor of Accounting at Franklin University. He is currently employed with Nationwide as a regional vice president in Dublin.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a strapless, geneva satin, mermaid style gown. Her all white bouquet was created with white akito roses, white ranunculus, white cymbidium orchids with pink throat, and several sprigs of ladies mantles.

Lynn Bishoff served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Donna Kern, Amanda Bradley, and Katie Appel. They wore strapless tea length dresses with sweetheart pleated surplice bodice in ebony gray. They carried bouquets of fuchsia and coral roses, mini green hydrangeas, pink ranunculus, and sprigs of seasonal greenery.

Reuben Clark served as best man. The groomsmen were Nick Kern, Keith Jenkins, and Mike Holiga. The ring bearer was Sean Clark.

A reception and sit down dinner was held at the Grand Ballroom at Lafayette Hotel in Marietta following the ceremony.

For their honeymoon, they traveled to Bahamas for a week to celebrate their marriage. The couple is residing in Dublin.
