Goodfellow-Ice
Shandra Celeste Goodfellow and Jarad Nathaniel Ice were united in marriage on Aug. 13, 2011, at the Sistersville Church of the Nazarene in Sistersville, W.Va. The Rev. Dennis D. Shirer officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of William (Greg) and Shirley Goodfellow of Friendly, W.Va. She is the granddaughter of Floy and Nancy Yoho of Friendly and William and Estella Goodfellow of Sistersville. She graduated from Tyler Consolidated High School in 2006 and is a 2011 graduate of West Liberty University, where she received a regent's degree. She is an independent beauty consultant for Mary Kay.
The bridegroom is the son of Marvin and Letitia (Tish) Ice of Sistersville. He is the grandson of Glenn Davis of New Martinsville and the late Sandra Davis. He graduated from Tyler Consolidated High School in 2006 and is a 2010 graduate of West Virginia University at Parkersburg with a degree in computer information technology. He is currently employed as a help desk technician at Kinetic Networking in Caldwell.
The bride was escorted by her father and given away by her parents. The bride was the soloist. A reading was done by Debbie Feather of Sistersville, and the couple chose to light a unity candle.
The bride wore a white strapless sweetheart gown with a flowing train and silver accents. She wore jewelry that belonged to the mother of the bridegroom and a pearl necklace, a gift from the bridegroom. The mother of the bridegroom designed and created all of the flowers worn and carried by all members of the wedding party. They featured pink and white lilies with beads that represented the joining of their families. The bride also wore a vintage veil that was worn by her mother and grandmother.
The maid of honor was Amanda Goodfellow, sister of the bride. The matron of honor was Jessica Owens. Bridesmaids were Kayla Saunders, Mandy Armstrong, Jenna Archey, and Crystal Archey. The attendants wore watermelon floor length gowns with beading.
The best man was Matthew Otto. The groomsmen Michael Owens, Luke Hays, Edward Davis, cousin of the bridegroom, Matthew Patterson, and Krzysztof Chojnowski.
A buffet style dinner and reception with music for dancing followed the ceremony in the Sistersville Elks Ballroom.
After a honeymoon at Pompano Beach, Fla., the couple resides in Caldwell.
