Allan and Nancy Tubaugh of Marietta announce the engagement and approaching wedding of their daughter, Alexandra Ann Tubaugh to Scott Anthony Trew, both of Columbus.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Ruth Jackson of Marietta and the late Buck Jackson, Helen Drake of Marietta and the late Carl Drake, Myrna Tubaugh of Beallsville and the late Richard Tubaugh.
She is a 2010 graduate of Otterbein University and is currently working on her master's degree. She is a first grade teacher in the Columbus area.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Kevan and Kelly Memel of Parkersburg and John Trew of Aurora. He is the grandson of Sharon Memel of Washington, W.Va.
He is a 2009 graduate of Franklin University. He is a tax agent for the Ohio Department of Taxation.
A destination wedding is being planned for July 12, 2012, on her parent's 32nd wedding anniversary, on Lindquist Beach, St. Thomas. U.S. Virgin Islands.
A reception party will be held in Marietta on July 27, 2012.
