Area churches conduct special services for Lent

Lenten Services

Beverly-Waterford Ministerial Association will be holding its 2012 Wednesday Lenten Services at 7:30 p.m. as follows:

March 14, Smith's Chapel United Methodist Church with Jeff Corbett.

March 21, Waterford Nazarene with Russell White.

March 28, Beverly Presbyterian with Walter Jones.

April 6, Beverly United Methodist Church with Karl Kesselring, Good Friday service.

There will be light refreshments to follow the services. All offerings support the ministry of the Beverly-Waterford Ministerial Association.

More services

The Lower Salem United Methodist Church, The Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, The Lawrence Baptist Church and The Muskingum Valley Baptist Church will hold special Sunday evening services during Lent at 6 p.m. The services will be held as follows:

March 11, Lower Salem United Methodist Church, Erin Curtis speaking, special music will be provided; the church is located on Second St., Lower Salem.

March 18, Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Pastor Scott Shawver speaking, special music will be provided; the church is located on Washington County Road 42, Stanleyville Road.

March 25, Lawrence Baptist Church, Pastor Lou Verdi speaking; special music will be provided; the church is located on Ohio 26, 16 miles from Marietta.

April 1, Muskingum Valley Baptist Church, Pastor Gale Lauderman speaking, special music will be provided; the church is located on Tice Run Road, Washington County Road 406 in Ludlow Township.

The public is invited to attend these special services.
