Service to disucess loved Bible story

"The Great Promise" will be the message delivered by Pastor Diann O'Bryant on at the 10 a.m. service on March 11 at the Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Ave., Marietta.

The topic is a favorite Bible story, the story of Jesus and Nicodemus.

Men's group to meet for breakfast

The Tunnel United Methodist Men will meet at 8 a.m. Sunday, March 11 for breakfast. The group will also be singing for the 9 a.m. worship service. Interested men are invited to attend.

Church to continue series on Daniel

Myron K. Guiler, pastor of the Marietta Bible Center Church will preach in the 10 a.m. service on March 11. He will continue his series of messages about the Crucifixion of Christ which will continue until Easter Sunday. The message will be "Who is Guilty of the Crucifixion?"

Guiler will continue his series from the Book of Daniel on Sunday evening at the 6 p.m. service. His message will be "Daniel's Great Prophecy."

The Marietta College Choir will travel to Sinking Springs, Ohio, near Hillsborough, on Friday, March 16 for a special service. Guiler will preach at the 7 p.m. service.

Community invited to free dinner

The community is invited to enjoy a Free Community Dinner on Friday, March 16 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Norwood United Methodist Church. The meal is free and open to any family or individual who wants to enjoy a hot meal and good Christian fellowship. Parking is available off the alley behind the church located at the corner of Oakwood Avenue and Colegate Drive in Marietta. The church offers a free community dinner on the third Friday of every month as part of their Outreach Ministry.

Community invited to breakfast

Second Congregational Church, 1885 Greene St., Marietta, is serving a breakfast for the community on March 24 from 8 to 11 a.m. The menu will include eggs, sausage, ham, pancakes and more. The church is located 1/2 mile past the Social Security Administration office on Ohio 26.

Free meal, clothing giveaway March 17

A free meal and clothing giveaway will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 17 at Faith United Methodist Church. The church is located at 503 Seventh St., Marietta. The meal and giveaway is held the third Saturday every month.

Free soup and chili meal offered

Everyone is invited to a free soup/chili meal on March 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at North Hills Baptist Church. Along with the soup and chili will be bread, dessert and drink. The church is at 108 Stonecrest Dr., Marietta.
