University of Mount Union
ALLIANCE, Ohio - Alexandra Turner, of Woodsfield, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2011 semester at the University of Mount Union. Turner is a graduate student in Mount Union's physician assistant studies program.
To be eligible for dean's list, students must have completed at least 12 credit hours of traditionally graded coursework while achieving a grade point average of 3.550 or better with no grade below a B.
Walsh University
NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Walsh University honored its 2011 summer and fall graduates at a ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 18, at the Gaetano M. Cecchini Family Health and Wellness Complex on campus.
Two local residents were among over 160 students from Walsh University who were honored: Carmellia Hagedorn, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing major and a resident of Lewisville, Ohio, graduated; and Margaret Schaad, a communication major and a resident of Beverly, graduated summa cum laude.
Marietta College
Two local residents are participating in Marietta College's Education Abroad program during the Spring 2012 semester - Autumn Partlow, of Beverly, is studying in Spain, and Kaifeng Xia, of Beijing, China, is studying in England.
Students are encouraged to incorporate an Education Abroad experience while at Marietta. The college offers faculty-led programs, exchange programs and partnerships and affiliations with overseas universities and institutions.
Walsh University
NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Four local residents were among over 600 students from Walsh University who were named to the fall 2011 dean's list: Carmellia Hagedorn, of Lewisville; Margaret Schaad, of Beverly; Alexandra West, of Waterford; and Kristin Nau, of Caldwell.
Ashland University
ASHLAND, Ohio - Craig Call, of Little Hocking, is a member of the indoor track team at Ashland University.
Call, who is majoring in business management, is a 2008 graduate of Warren High School.
Ashland University's indoor track team competes in NCAA Division II in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Eagles are led by head coach Jud Logan and assistant coaches Dana Freeman, Dave Smalley and Trent Mack.
