David and April Sampson of Waterford announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter Kristin Leanne Sampson to Carl Edward Pachmayer II, son of Carl and Bernadette Pachmayer of Mt. Vernon.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Janet Abbott and the late Glen Abbott of Marietta, and James and Kathryn Sampson of Waterford. She is a 2006 graduate of Waterford High School and a 2011 graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in strategic communications. She is currently employed with PNC Bank and will begin her master's degree this winter.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Rose DeSimione and the late Martin DeSimione of Solon. He is a 2003 graduate of Wooster High School and a 2008 graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in aviation systems. He was selected for officer training with the Air Force and will begin training shortly following the wedding. Upon graduating he will fly a KC-10 aircraft for McGuire AFB near Trenton N. J. where the newlyweds will reside.
The couple will be married on Friday, May 25, 2012, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Marietta with a reception to follow at the Marietta Shrine Club.
