Escorted by Joel Jones of Washington, D.C., friend of the family, the bride wore a white silk taffeta strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline and asymmetrical pleats below the empire waistline, which then flowed into a chapel train. Her upswept hair was adorned with a navy flower clip, and she carried a lace-wrapped posey bouquet of cloth flowers in shades of blue and white, accented with lace.

Matron of honor was Telecia Wilson of Stockbridge, Ga., cousin of the bride, and maid of honor was Bethany Mitchell of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Bridesmaids were Vickie Jones of Washington, D.C., and Jesta Stanley of Newark, Ohio, sister of the bridegroom. They wore royal blue, tea-length, strapless dresses, and carried smaller versions of the bride's bouquet.

Best man was Shawn Barnhart of Pomeroy. Groomsmen were Jeremy Phoenix of Charleston, W.Va., Mike Muhn of Columbus, and Mitchell Stanley of Newark, Ohio, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. They wore taupe suits with ties in shades of blue with boutonnieres of taupe and teal feathers, accented with bamboo spirals.

The dinner and dance reception was held at The Loft in Columbus, with Reza Alamzadeh of Athens, presiding as Master-of-the-Feast. The white, diamond-shaped wedding cake, topped with snowflakes in shades of blue, was provided by Bruce and Carol Westfall of Glouster, Ohio, friends of the couple. Pictures were taken by Larry Jones of Washington, D.C., friend of the bride.

The bride graduated from Akron's East High School in 2000, from Ohio University in Athens, class of 2004, with a B.S.S. in Business Communication and Marketing, and from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, class of 2005, with a Masters of Science in Health Care Policy and Management.
