I like to jog for exercise and peace of mind. Quite often my route takes me out Waverly Road in Williamstown. Once I pass the cemetery, I truly begin to enjoy the sights of spring. I see beautiful flowers, trees, wildlife, the river ... ah relaxing! What's that I see up ahead? Trash! There are pop cans, fast food wrappers, beer cans, beer bottles, liquor bottles, and all sorts of garbage, discarded on the sides of the road. I am reminded of the television commercial from the '70s with the teary-eyed Indian (Iron Eyes Cody) standing on top of the hill looking down at the destruction of his surroundings. Let's keep Williamstown beautiful people and put litter in its place!
