I was injured in an automobile accident on 5/28/10. The woman who hit us was talking on her cell phone and pulled right in front of us.
Liability is not the issue as her insurance has claimed responsibility for the accident. My problem is that the Ohio public has no idea how insurance friendly the state of Ohio really is. It has been almost two years, and when we go to court the jurors are not allowed by Ohio law to find out the true expenses occurred by the plaintiff. If there was retribution filed against the claim due to long term disability or the health insurance claims it is not allowable in Ohio court systems. So basically, the jurors only get to hear what the state and the insurance companies want them to hear. Think about this the next time you are on a jury and the insurance companies are trying to play someone's injuries down. The public has a right to know all the facts without big business having all the rights. This can be verified by any attorney in the Mid-Ohio Valley. I will not work again due to the accident, but we all need to protect ourselves from big business and big government, just in case.
