To be named to the dean's list, Muskingum students must attain strictly prescribed levels of academic performance in their overall grade point average.
West Virginia Wesleyan College
BUCKHANNON, W.Va. - Teresa Tokodi, of Marietta, was named to the 2012 spring semester dean's list at West Virginia Wesleyan College.
Wesleyan's dean's list requires students to earn a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.9 in 12 or more semester hours.
Wilmington College
WILMINGTON - Three local residents were named to the dean's list at Wilmington College for the 2012 spring semester:
Hannah C. Casto, of Marietta. Casto, a senior, is a 2008 graduate of Edon High School, is majoring in art.
Andrew G. Wagner, of Lowell. Wagner, a senior, is a 2008 graduate of Fort Frye High School, is majoring in agriculture.
Breanna K. Schaad, of Waterford. Schaad, a sophomore, is a 2011 graduate of Waterford High School, is majoring in agriculture.
To be eligible for the dean's list honor, a student must be enrolled full time and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Walsh University
NORTH CANTON - Alexandria Schaad, of Beverly, graduated from Walsh University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. More than 630 graduates were awarded their degrees during the 49th Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, April 29, marking one of Walsh's largest graduating classes to date.
Muskingum University
NEW CONCORD - Muskingum University granted its Special Awards at its Scholarship Recognition Day, held April 13 on the campus in New Concord, Ohio.
The special awards are granted to students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in specific academic areas.
Brittany N. Mackie, of Caldwell, a senior majoring in music, humanities, received the Amy B. Leiendecker Award in Music (awarded by the music department to a senior for four years of outstanding service to the department of music). Mackie also received the Mary Bartlett Reynolds Award in Music (awarded by the music department to a senior for four years of outstanding contributions to the department of music).
Ashley M. Fox, of Waterford, a senior majoring in chemistry, received the William J. Wallace Award in Chemistry (awarded to an outstanding junior or senior chemistry major).
Jendy L. Weppler, of Whipple, a junior majoring in molecular biology, chemistry, received the A. Bruce Gill and Mabel Woodrow Gill Scholarship Fund (awarded by the Science Division faculty to an outstanding student majoring in biology, chemistry or physics who is pursuing a degree in a medical field). Weppler also received the William J. Wallace Award in Chemistry (awarded to an outstanding junior or senior chemistry major).
Freed-Hardeman U.
HENDERSON, Tenn. - Kelly Hoeflich, of Marietta, has been named to the dean's list at Freed-Hardeman University for academic achievement during the 2012 spring semester.
Inclusion on the dean's list requires maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.40 for the semester and full-time status.
Hoeflich is a senior majoring in arts and humanities. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Hoeflich.
