This letter is in response to a letter concerning, "Many of faith support same-sex marriage." In the letter, the writer goes through a list of churches that have turned their backs on the word of God.
I Timothy 4:1-2, "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, giving their own conscience seared with a hot iron." Again in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 says, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables."
The word of God does not change for anyone. Remember Sodom in Genesis Chapter 19. In verse 5 of Chapter 19 it says, "They (men) shouted to Lot, "Where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out to us so we can have sex with them!" In verse 24 of Chapter 9 the Lord rained down fire and burning sulfur from the sky and in verse 25 the Lord utterly destroyed them!
Now what does the New Testament say about this.
Romans 1:26-27 Because people did those things, God left them and let them do the shameful things they wanted to do. Women stopped having natural sex and started having sex with other women. In the same way, men stopped having natural sex and began wanting each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and in their bodies they received the punishment for those wrongs. What will happen if they do not repent from this immoral act?
I Corinthians 6: 9-10 plainly states "Don't you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idol worshipers, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, abusers, and swindlers-none of these will have a share in the Kingdom of God." You don't put a question mark when God puts a period!
Marriage is between a man and woman under God's direction. Man can make his laws but God has the final say. This letter writer stated in his letter that we must allow our churches and faith communities to set the standard for living in the right relationship with God for their own members. It's a good idea as long as you teach the true word of God. And the true teaching of God is the holy scripture quoted in this letter. It plainly states, among others, homosexual's men or women will not be in the Kingdom of God. Now it doesn't take a brain scientist to figure out where they are going if they do not repent.
America badly needs a revival and repent or God will judge her as He did Sodom. Now you know the truth and you have no excuse.
