The Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual ice cream social beginning at 4 p.m., Saturday, at Salem-Liberty Elementary School on Ohio 821 in Lower Salem.
A baked steak or chicken dinner will be served. There will be games, money raffle, bingo, country store and karaoke with "Big D".
The coronation of the Little Miss Flame and the Little Fire Chief will be at 7:30 p.m.

Candidate for Little Miss Flame is Madison Anderson, 5, of Lower Salem, daughter of Rebecca Stille and William Anderson. She is the granddaughter of Blaine and Sharon Stille of Lower Salem, Rose Hanes of Marietta, the great-granddaughter of Robert Stille Sr. of Lower Salem, and Nancy Davis of Parkersburg. She enjoys the outdoors, animals, fishing and four-wheeler riding. She attends Salem-Liberty Elementary School as a Kindergarten student.
Candidate for Little Fire Chief is Carter Armstrong, 6, of Whipple, the son of Gerald and Paula Armstrong Jr. He is the grandson of Paul and Dorothy Moser and Gerald and Brenda Armstrong St. He attends Salem-Liberty Elementary School as a first grade student and like to play outside and climb trees.
Levi McConnell, 7, of Lowell, the son of Tom and Ginger McConnell is the other candidate for Little Fire Chief. He is the grandson of Roger and Linda Moore, Gary and Carol McConnell, all of Lowell. He enjoys basketball, baseball, riding his four-wheeler and dirt bike and spending time with his family and friends.
