Darrel and Nora Pugh of Marietta are celebrating their 50th anniversary on June 9. They were married June 9, 1962, at the home of her parents by the Rev. Charles Edgington.
She is the daughter of the late Harold and Rachel Day. He is the son of the late Duane and Bessie Pugh.
He retired from Solvay after 35 years of service. He works part time for Ameriturf Lawn Service.
They have a son, Jerry (Cheryl) Pugh of Marietta. They are the grandparents of Cody (Jordan) Pugh of San Angelo, Texas, and Lindsey Pugh of Marietta. They are the great-grandparents of Hailey Marie and Allison Jane of San Angelo.
They are members of Sand Hill United Methodist Church in Reno, where he teaches Sunday school and she is the Sunday school secretary. They enjoy traveling to Texas and other areas of interest.
