The 2011-2012 Grace Alderman Achievement Award for Outstanding Eighth Grade Boy and Girl has been awarded to Derek Bohl and Lauren Eakle.
Based on outstanding academic achievement, two personal recommendations, and a short, personal interview, Bohl and Eakle were chosen for this honor from a field of many excellent applicants.
Eakle is the daughter of Mark and Jane Eakle of Whipple. Bohl is the son of Randy and Tina Bohl of Lowell.
The Grace Alderman Achievement Award is a monetary award of $250 to each student. Larry Alderman, Grace's husband, and their children, Tricia and Jason, established this award to honor wife and mother. Mrs. Alderman taught for nearly 20 years in all four of the Fort Frye elementary schools.
