Paul L Shannon, 87, recently of Marietta passed away on Tuesday (June 5, 2012) at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 10, 1925, in Stryker, Ohio to Matilda and Elmer Shannon.
Paul was a proud WWII veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring from the reserves in 1972. He was a member of Rotary International, active in the church, and a co-founder of The Hubbard Company Printing and Engraving.
He is survived by his daughters, Amy (Michael) Brockett of Marietta, Myra (John-deceased) of Bryan, Ohio, and Paula (Matthew) of Naperville, Ill., seven grandchildren and eight grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance, Ohio on Monday (June 25, 2012). A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday (June 27, 2012) at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marietta at 12:05 p.m. with Msgr. J. Michael Campbell, celebrant.
