EDMOND, Okla. - Nate Hupp of the Brian Davis-coached West Liberty University wrestling team has been named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association's 19th annual NCAA Division II All-Academic Team.
The NWCA's 2011-12 NCAA Division II All-Academic Wrestling Team consists of 164 student-athletes from 40 universities and colleges. Thirty-seven wrestlers were named to the first team, 45 earned second team laurels and 82 were honorable mention selections.
Hupp, a redshirt freshman 157-pounder from Marietta High, is a first-time honoree. Hupp is a biology and pre-med major with a 3.58 GPA.
