Volunteers, diners helped Secret Santa effort

June 25, 2012
The Marietta Times

I would like to thank the community for supporting the pasta dinner fundraiser to benefit the Washington-Morgan Community Action Secret Santa Program. The money raised will be used to buy Christmas gifts for children who do not receive community sponsors.

Because of the generosity of many community businesses, all of the food, supplies and prizes for this event were donated. I would like to thank the following business for their part in making this dinner a great success: Food Distributors, Kroger's, Giant Eagle, Sam's Club, Bob Evans, Panera Bread, R D Wilson Son & Company, East of Chicago, Warren's IGA, Rossi Pasta, Over the Moon Pizza, Ketel1, SMC Communications Swagg, Mak's NicNaks, Putnam Chocolates and Shoney's. I would also like to thank the MOV' n Dragons and the Marietta Noon Lions Club for their support.

A big thank you to the First Unitarian Universalist Church for hosting this event. The members of the church have been long time supporters, of the Secret Santa Program, sponsoring children each Christmas. Thank you so much for the use of the facilities.

And last but not least I would like to thank all the volunteers who helped make the dinner so successful and to all those who attended the dinner.

Catherine Rees,

Coordinator Secret Santa Program
