July 3, 2012
The Marietta Times

Power has been restored to most of the Washington County Fairgrounds and the Independence Day activities planned there today and Wednesday will go on as scheduled.

The horse stables remain without power, but everything else is running, according to fair board president Frank Tucker. At 7:30 p.m. today the demolition derby kicks off the activities. On Wednesday, the mud bog commences at 11 a.m. and runs all day until the fireworks at 10 p.m.
